Interview with Amy

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Amy: I’m not sure.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Amy: They were named by letters, example, Cell Block A, B, C, etc.

JM: Which inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Amy: I’m not sure, but I do know that mentally-ill inmates were housed in a separate floor, as were pregnant inmates.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Amy: I was only in 1 block, so the nicest part of it was a particular Correctional Officer who talked to me and helped me go thru the process. The worst part was definitely the "beds" and food.
